🚕 BiTaksi in Istanbul (2025) – Taxi App, Prices & Airport Rides

BiTaksi uses the regular taxi meter in most cases – the app estimate helps you understand the range before you start.

1. Download the app (iOS or Android) and register with your phone number. You’ll receive a verification code.
2. Enable location so the app can find your current spot. Adjust the pin if your hotel entrance is on a side street.
3. Set your destination using the search bar or by dropping a pin on the map.
4. Choose taxi type – Yellow (standard), Turquoise (more comfort) or Black (premium) and select your payment method (cash/card).
5. Review the estimated fare & arrival time and tap Request to find a driver.
6. Wait for your driver, check the plate number, then sit in the back seat and enjoy the ride.
7. At the end, pay with your chosen method and rate the trip in the app.

If the driver tries to switch off the meter or suggests a fixed cash price very different from the estimate, you can cancel and request support through the app.

BiTaksi uses the official taxi tariff set by the municipality. Your final price depends on starting fee + distance + time in traffic, plus differences between taxi categories.

Note that night tariffs and heavy traffic can push the price higher than the initial estimate.

• Rush hours & rain (especially 08:00–10:00 and 17:00–19:30) can mean long wait times. For short hops, consider metro or Tram T1.
• Check plate & driver name before you get in; make sure it matches the app.
• Ask for the meter if it isn’t visible. BiTaksi rides should use the official taxi meter.
• Language barrier? Type your destination in the app clearly so the driver sees it on-screen.
• Keep your in-app receipt and use the support section if you lose an item or have a fare issue.
