⛪Temple Uluwatu (Bali) 2025 Guide – Sunset, Kecak & Entrance Fees

Uluwatu Temple is one of the six key sea temples of Bali and a must-visit stop on most South Bali itineraries. Its clifftop paths, ocean viewpoints and traditional Kecak Dance performance at sunset make it a favourite for both first-time visitors and repeat travellers.

The temple complex itself is relatively compact, but the cliff walks and viewpoints can easily fill 1–2 hours, especially if you stay for the evening show.

• Monkeys: Keep your belongings safe – monkeys may snatch sunglasses, hats or small items. Avoid holding your phone or food in your hands near them.
• Timing: Arrive about 1 hour before sunset to walk along the cliffs, then secure a good seat for the Kecak Dance show.
• Dress code: Wear modest and comfortable clothes. A sarong and sash will usually be provided at the entrance, but shoulders and knees should still be covered where possible.
• Footwear: Paths can be uneven, so closed shoes or sturdy sandals are better than flip-flops.
• Sun & heat: Bring water, a hat and sunscreen, especially if you arrive earlier in the afternoon.
